Our 3D Delivery Process
01: Strategy
At the outset of the process, we review the plans of your project to identify optimal views and units which will present best when visualised. These are then presented for your review in the following diagrams.
The starting point for us to creating an architectural visualization is the camera angle and unit selection. A proposed viewing cone options are placed on the plans of your project together with a lighting setup that would create an optimal mood.
Although all images we are producing are artist impressions, for exterior architectural visualisation it is important to relate the optimal lighting to the orientation of the sun in real life for realism and accuracy.
02: Assess
Here is where our work really begins. By making sure that we have all the information in place – we will provide you with a camera angle diagram as well as style guides for various images – for your review and approval as it considerably speeds up delivery of the overall work by reducing iterations on scenery items.
03: 3D Model
Typically we work from flat CAD plans of projects, or from your architect’s or building designer’s 3D models. We use industry standard top of the line software packages, which enable us to bring in almost any format that your consultants may be working in. If the model is constructed correctly, it may speed up the delivery process provided.
However most of the time we find it is better for us to start from scratch (ie 2D CAD plans) so we can ensure accuracy and control the quality of the 3D model. At the completion of this stage – a 3D camera angle is confirmed based on a “clay” image that contains all 3D information about the project.
04: Detail
Once the 3D model is constructed and 3D geometry is confirmed by your architectural designers – we proceed to detail the scenery as per supplied landscaping and interior finish schedules. This step is pretty much the same whether we are dealing with a high rise tower still image through to large estate visualisation.
We break down the complex developments into its components and breathe life into the image. Our 3D landscaping, lighting and lifestyle scenery elements create a level of photorealism to the visuals that most people out there would consider that it was a real photograph.
05: Deliver
Once the images have been approved at low-resolution versions, they are output to high resolution and the project is finalised. The 3D visuals are then delivered to you and your printing or marketing consultants in appropriate resolutions.
